Receive your boarding card by e-mail or have it sent to your mobile

Online check-in is the process whereby you can obtain your boarding card via the Internet (sent by e-mail or to your mobile).

It is a highly useful tool for avoiding the check-in desks and hassle with suitcases when you get to the airport. When travelling with luggage through Madrid or Barcelona, a separate check-in desk will be available to those passengers who have already checked in online.

You can check in online for free:
- If you have selected your seat from the moment you purchase your ticket up until 4 hours before departure of your flight.
- If you have not selected a seat, one will be assigned to you at random and you can check in online anytime between 7 days and 4 hours before departure of your flight.

Some airports do not allow the check-in process to be performed online.(see airports)

Online check-in is not available for the following types of booking. Passengers on such flights must go to the airport check-in desks for a suitable seat to be assigned according to their specific requirements:

  • Bookings that include passengers with reduced mobility
  • Bookings that include the Unaccompanied Minor Service
  • Bookings that include infants
  • Bookings that include pets

Boarding card by e-mail or sent to your mobile?

At the end of the check-in process, you can choose whether to receive your boarding card by e-mail or have it sent to your mobile. Avoid the queues at the check-in desks!

Boarding card sent by e-mail
Take your printed board card with you to the airport (no need to print it in colour). Your seat will have been assigned when checking in and you can thus avoid the queues at the check-in desks.

Boarding card sent to your mobile
Have your boarding card sent to your mobile telephone. You will thus save time, save paper, select your own seat and gain added comfort as all the information about your flight will be stored on your mobile.

This service is only available on flights from Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, Mallorca, Paris (Orly) and Amsterdam to any Vueling destination.

What about if I'm taking hand luggage? Sizes and weights permitted on board

The following limits are applied:

  • 1 item per passenger.
  • No heavier than 10 kg.
  • No larger than 55x40x20 cm.

All passengers whose luggage exceeds these limits will be required to pay an addition ?20 per route and item of luggage, irrespective of whether or not they have already checked in luggage.
